Electro-Chlorination Systems
Generate disinfectant around the treatment duty.
Electro-chlorination needs a defined disinfection objective, suitable feed conditions and a considered dosing and handling arrangement.
The product’s role
Chlorine has disinfected water for more than a century because it is effective and leaves a residual that keeps working through the pipes. The usual ways to get it onto a site are chlorine gas cylinders or delivered sodium hypochlorite, and both have to be stored and handled with care.
An electro-chlorinator makes the disinfectant where it is needed. A brine of common salt and water passes through an electrolytic cell, and an electric current turns it into a sodium hypochlorite solution that is stored and dosed like any other. You buy salt instead of bulk chlorine or bleach. We size the unit to your flow and chlorine demand, then design, supply, install and maintain it.
The practical need
Variable demand, feed compatibility and maintenance access influence system selection.
Select the right configuration
Disinfection-duty review
Define demand and application.
Electrolytic generation arrangement
Review feed and utilities.
Dosing interface
Select generation and dosing interfaces.
Operating and maintenance plan
Verify controls and operating procedures.
How it fits into the system
Brine tank
Common salt is dissolved in water to make a brine of steady strength.
On-site generation
The brine passes through an electrolytic cell, where current turns it into sodium hypochlorite.
Hypochlorite storage
The solution is held in a tank, ready to be dosed.
Dosing
Metering pumps feed the hypochlorite in proportion to the flow of water.
Residual check
Free and total residual chlorine are measured to confirm disinfection and set the dose.

Questions before the next step
Is one output capacity suitable for every application?
No. The system is selected for the assessed duty, water conditions and required operating arrangement.
What is needed for an enquiry?
Disinfection-duty review, application details, available records, site constraints and the required delivery scope.
What is an electro-chlorinator?
It makes sodium hypochlorite on site by passing an electric current through salt water. You buy salt instead of bulk chlorine or bleach, and avoid storing and handling it.
Does it replace the dosing system?
No. The hypochlorite it makes is still dosed by metering pumps in proportion to flow, and the residual chlorine is checked to confirm disinfection.
Can it be added to an existing plant?
Usually, yes. We look at the flow, the chlorine demand, the dosing point and the power supply, then propose the size of unit.
