PLC, SCADA & HMI Automation

Make the operating sequence understandable.

Automation starts with the sequence operators need to trust: what runs, what stops and what happens when a condition is wrong.

Project vision

A treatment plant has dozens of pumps, blowers, valves and dosing units that must start, stop and adjust in the right order. Automation does this reliably. Field instruments measure level, flow, pressure and quality. PLCs run the control logic. Motor control centres and power control centres switch and protect the drives, and an operator panel or SCADA screen shows the whole plant at a glance.

We design automation into our plants from day one, and can also add it to existing ones. Our scope covers panel design and manufacture, instrumentation, PLC programming, SCADA screens, networking over Profibus or industrial Ethernet, and data acquisition for reports. The same system can link to iSAVE for remote monitoring, so the plant can be watched from anywhere.

Typical business & operational challenges

A typical operational situation

Unclear interlocks, inconsistent manual modes and poorly explained alarms make operation difficult.

Our solution

PLC, SCADA & HMI Automation is considered around the actual duty, available inputs and operating arrangement. The scope starts with control philosophy. It also considers PLC logic. It also considers HMI or SCADA interfaces. It also considers interlock verification.

Our approach

  1. Document operating sequences

  2. Agree I/O and access

  3. Implement screens and logic

  4. Test normal, fault and manual conditions

Features & deliverables

  • Control philosophy
  • PLC logic
  • HMI or SCADA interfaces
  • Interlock verification

Selection and inclusion are confirmed through the approved proposal and design.

Expected operational benefits

A clearer basis for control philosophy and interlock verification, supported by an operating approach suited to the application. Actual performance depends on the final design, conditions and operation.

Technology options & engineering basis

Implement screens and logic. Equipment, interfaces and operating requirements are selected after the input review.

Information to bring to the discussion

Equipment register, operating sequences, I/O requirements, existing controls, permitted actions and communication conditions.

How it works, stage by stage

  1. Field instruments

Sensors measure levels, flows, pressures and water quality across the plant.

  2. MCC and PCC

Motor and power control panels switch, protect and feed every drive.

  3. PLC control

The PLC reads signals and runs pumps, blowers and valves to the programmed logic.

  4. Plant network

Profibus or industrial Ethernet links PLCs, panels and operator stations.

  5. SCADA and HMI

Operators see live status, trends and alarms, and control equipment from one screen.

  6. Data and remote

Readings are logged for reports and can be shared to iSAVE for remote access.

Where it is used

Questions before the next step

Does every automation project include SCADA?

No. PLC, HMI and SCADA requirements follow the operating scope; the proposal identifies the supplied interfaces.

What is needed for an enquiry?

Control philosophy, application details, available records, site constraints and the required delivery scope.

Can you automate a plant that is already running?

Often, yes. We survey the existing panels, drives and instruments, then propose what to add or replace so the plant can be controlled from a PLC and SCADA.

Will our operators still be able to run the plant manually?

Yes. Panels are normally built with local manual controls alongside automatic mode, so equipment can be run by hand during maintenance or a fault.

Can the system send data off site?

Yes. The SCADA can share data with our iSAVE platform for remote monitoring, alarms on your phone and online compliance reporting.
